With the June 2 Primary Election behind us, the campaign for the November 3 General

Election is officially underway. The candidates have been chosen, and now the work begins. Elections are not won in the last few weeks before Election Day. They are won by Republicans who are willing to give a little of their time over the next several months.
For Republicans in Merced County, we cannot afford to sit back and hope things change. If we want better representation in Sacramento and Washington, we have to earn it. That means organizing, volunteering, registering voters, supporting our candidates, and making sure Republicans turn out to vote in November.
Several important races will affect Merced County and the future of California. Republicans will be working to defeat Congressman Adam Gray in Congressional District 13, Esmeralda Soria in Senate District 14, and Jaron Brandon in Senate District 4. These races matter, and every Republican can help make a difference.
Join a Local Republican Organization
One of the most important things you can do is become active in one or more of our local Republican organizations.
· Republican Party of Merced County (RPMC) – The official Republican Party organization in Merced County. www.mercedgop.com
· Merced County Republican Assembly (MCRA) – A grassroots volunteer organization dedicated to electing conservative Republicans. www.mercedrepublicans.com
· Merced County Republican Women (MCRW) – An organization that supports Republican candidates, promotes civic involvement, and develops community leaders. MCRW on Facebook or via email to mercedcrwf@gmail.com
Each organization has its own mission, and together they make our Republican community stronger.
Republicans Working with Republicans
The Republican Party of Merced County is organizing members by Supervisorial District. Instead of trying to cover the entire county, members will work with Republicans who live in their own communities.
Neighbors know their neighborhoods better than anyone else. Working together makes it easier to build relationships and welcome new Republicans into our organization.
District teams will:
· Meet in members' homes, parks, restaurants, and other local gathering places.
· Invite Republicans who have never attended a meeting.
· Welcome new members.
· Hold voter registration events.
· Organize rallies.
· Host candidate meet-and-greets.
· Walk precincts.
· Make phone calls.
· Send postcards.
· Conduct Get Out The Vote activities before Election Day.
The goal is simple: build active Republican teams throughout Merced County.
Everyone Can Help
Not everyone enjoys walking precincts, and not everyone has the same amount of free time.
Some people like working events. Some enjoy talking with voters.
Others prefer making phone calls, helping with social media, registering voters, taking photographs, writing newsletters, or serving on committees.
Every volunteer helps move our organization forward.
Whether you can give a few hours each month or several hours each week, there is a place for you. Even putting a sign in your yard and getting family and friends to do the same, helps get common sense candidates elected.
Our Goal
The Republican Party of Merced County is rebuilding from the ground up. We want an active Republican presence in every community throughout the county.
Our priorities are straightforward:
· Register Republican voters.
· Recruit volunteers.
· Build district organizations.
· Support Republican candidates.
· Educate voters on the issues.
· Increase Republican voter turnout.
· Win elections.
