Unity, Action, and Winning the 13th District

As we move deeper into this election cycle for California’s 13th Congressional District, one message must be clear to every Republican in Merced County: participation determines outcomes.

This is a competitive district, and every vote, every conversation, and every registered supporter will matter in the weeks ahead.

Kevin Lincoln has received the formal endorsement of

the Republican Party of Merced County. At the same time, Vin Kruttiventi has earned strong support from the Merced County Republican Assembly (MCRA), which recently hosted a well-attended public endorsement event highlighting grassroots activists and local law enforcement voices.

These expressions of support reflect the energy and engagement of our Merced County Republican community. Importantly, much of this participation comes from the same dedicated voters and activists who care deeply about the future of our county and country.

Now is not the time for hesitation—it is the time for action. Our focus must be clear:

  • Register new Republican voters

  • Contact family, friends, and neighbors

  • Strengthen turnout operations across every precinct

  • Ensure that every supporter shows up on Election Day

In California’s top-two primary system, success depends not only on enthusiasm, but on organization and execution. The candidates who advance will be those backed by a disciplined, motivated, and fully engaged electorate.

Important election dates

Ballots will begin being mailed on May 4th and should arrive in mailboxes by May 6th. Once ballots arrive, we strongly encourage voters to vote early and return their ballots promptly.

Every supporter should also take responsibility beyond their own household:

  • Help family members complete and return their ballots

  • Check in with friends and neighbors

  • Encourage timely ballot return—do not wait until the last day

In California’s top-two primary system, success depends not only on enthusiasm, but on organization and execution. The candidates who advance will be those backed by a disciplined, motivated, and fully engaged electorate.

That means every volunteer matters. Every phone call matters. Every door knocked matters.

We encourage all Republicans in Merced County to stay active, stay engaged, and take ownership of this election. The path to victory is built at the grassroots level—block by block, precinct by precinct, voter by voter.

The strength of our party has always come from participation. Let’s make sure that strength is fully realized in this election cycle.

-- Gene D. Johnson Jr., Chair, Republican Party of Merced County
