Congratulations to the 2026 MCRA leadership team

As Chair of the Republican Party of Merced County (RPMC), I want to extend my sincere appreciation and warm congratulations to the newly elected executive board for the Merced County Republican Assembly (MCRA) - the grassroots team of volunteers that support common sense candidates and policies in affiliation with the RPMC.

On Thursday night, January 8, 2026, the members of the MCRA selected a strong and dedicated team to guide the organization forward:

• Rick Wendling was elected Secretary

• Barbara Hunsuck was elected Membership Secretary

• J.A. Thomas was elected Vice President for his second term

• Glenda Small, who has faithfully served since 2022, continues as Treasurer

• Beverly Bomerbach was elected President of the MCRA

Each of these individuals brings experience, commitment, and a deep belief in the mission of the California Republican Assembly. Their willingness to step forward and serve strengthens not only the MCRA, but the broader Republican effort throughout Merced County.

I look forward to working alongside this new board as we continue building a principled, effective, and energized movement for 2026 and beyond.
