Tax Information: 

 

Contributions to the Republican Party of Merced County are non-tax deductible for Federal or California tax purposes. 

 

Individual Contributions will be used in both federal and California state elections and may also be made in any amount. The first $10,000 received per calendar year (husband and wives counted separately) will be used for federal elections. This limit is shared with the State Party. 

 

Contributions used for federal elections: Individuals and unincorporated associations may contribute up to $10,000 per contributor per calendar year (husband and wives are considered separate contributors). Federal PACs may contribute up to $5000 per calendar year. 

 

Donations: Federal law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each donor whose contributions aggregate more than $200 per calendar year.

Contribution Rules

1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).

2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

3. I am at least eighteen years old.

4. I am not a federal contractor.

5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.

 

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contribution exceeds $200 in an election cycle.
